Play It Safe and Survive — Is That Enough?

Hot Air balloon2
DECIDE to follow your DREAMS

“You can play it safe, and I wouldn’t blame you for it.
You can continue as you’ve been doing, and you’ll survive, but is that what you want? Is that enough?”
~~ J.M. Darhower

You’re an infinite being.
Your potential is infinite.

Why would you merely survive and crimp your infinite outrageous potential?

Let’s put it this way, what would you be doing if you were guaranteed success in all that you do?

If that inspires you, then let’s do something magnificent, something that makes you live large and feel fabulous!

BUT understand this… you can’t get to your new destination by following an old path.

You’re going to be traveling some uncharted territory.
This will be new for you, right?
It’s going to be unfamiliar, so you’re going to probably feel uneasy.
Discomfort is part of the adventure.

Embrace it.

Most people run at the first sign of discomfort.
Embracing your discomfort is noble.
It means you’re a courageous pioneer – of your own life.

The first step if you want to do something new is to make a DECISION.

Nothing happens without a DECISION and a decision comes BEFORE the “HOW” shows up.

Most people wait their whole life for the RIGHT HOW and RIGHT TIME.

They never live their dream.
The RIGHT HOW and RIGHT TIME never come.

Do this instead:
When you have a dream or discover a new opportunity ask yourself a simple question, “Does this make me feel excited?”
If it’s a YES, that’s all you need.

DECIDE… right here, right now. “I am doing it.”

You may feel a little scared, and that’s a good sign because it means you’re moving into something new.
We THRIVE on new experiences.

Making decisions is scary when we first start but it’s the ONLY WAY to create your dream.
Nothing happens without a DECISION.

Your dream and that you have it is no coincidence; it’s vital you start moving into living it.

One of the reasons the world is filled with sadness and depression is because people suppress their dreams and crimp their potential; suppression is another reason for illness.

The way to be happy, healthy and young is to DECIDE to follow your dreams and continually evolve and grow.

The SAFEST thing you can do is move forward into what you want!

Survival is not impressive, it’s not safe… choose to THRIVE!!!

How to Leave Behind Pain and Embrace Freedom

WHERE WILL IT TAKE YOU?
WHERE WILL IT TAKE YOU?

Challenges bring opportunities.
There’s no question about that.

There’s also no question it’s hard to
“embrace” a challenge or problem by yelling, “Yay, an opportunity!”

The essence of who you are always wants freedom.

You’re always naturally seeking expansion, fuller expression – of who you truly are.

When you allow yourself to grow you’re at your happiest because your soul thrives on adventure.

But most of us shrink back because adventure means CHANGE!

Why do we fear change?

Change takes us into the unknown; new experiences. The new, the unknown is unpredictable.

“Unpredictable” is too dangerous and uncomfortable for a human being who is focused on survival, so they pull back to safety.

We’ve been programmed since childhood to “survive”.

But remember our true essence desperately wants the majestic adventure and we’re shrinking back saying no.

“I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery.”
~~ Thomas Jefferson

You can only suppress you for so long.

This day-in-day out, week-in-week out continual suppression and denial brings enormous pain, frustration, anger, depression, anxiety and boredom.

There comes a time when the pain is so great you’ll be willing to say YES, grab the opportunity and leap into the unknown.

There you’ll discover the magic of the adventure and FREEDOM, PEACE, JOY… THE REAL YOU.

It’s time to shine your splendid light.

You’re ready for the grandest life and no-one will ever again be able to put out your light.

Now You Can Overcome Fear and Get What You Want

“Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.”

Marie Curie

Fear is something every human deals with. You are not alone. The blessing is that fear is about what could happen and not what is happening. When you start to understand how you create your life, fear drops away. When you learn how to deliberately create what you want in your life, fear drops away even further. The knowledge in my book gives you that understanding and the courage to take action; knowledge and action overcome fear and anxiety. The following extract from my book Just Like That! How to Get Anything You Want[i] is an example, it zeroes in on the fear of change as well as one of the main causes of fear. Other causes of fear and how to overcome them are dealt with elsewhere in the book, giving you skills to face life fearlessly, empower your life and increase your wisdom.

Knowledge tackles fear head-on; it eliminates fear and anxiety so you can step joyfully forward into a brighter, happier future where you get what you want.

Moving On From the Status Quo

No matter how tantalizing the potential outcome, many people fear change in their lives because the body fears the unknown and it fears losing its identity. The wanted or unwanted aspects of our identity are familiar, like a comfortable pair of shoes. We find comfort in the boundaries of our old strengths and weaknesses.

The body may go on high alert for several reasons – when we attempt to think differently, when we have a decision to make or when contemplating an unresolved part of our life. The body cannot ascertain the full consequence of the change and how the change will affect its ability to survive, and it fears its inability to cope in a new situation. It would rather stay as it is, even if it is suffering or unhappy.

“Action conquers fear.”

Peter Nivio Zarlenga (Author, The Orator)

   Just Do It

The body can procrastinate by popping up endless questions to delay action so as to stay ‘safe’. People may feel confusion as to which path to take, so they procrastinate. Procrastination is borne out of the fear of change, yet any action, even some preliminary research, takes you closer to the real answer. Any action is progress, even if it isn’t in the best direction. There is no such thing as a ‘wrong’ action, Continue reading “Now You Can Overcome Fear and Get What You Want”
