Today we’re talking about all those excuses and explanations we use when the truth feels too uncomfortable.

Let’s imagine a simple scenario –
you’re late for an appointment or need to change one.

Would your first impulse be to put forward an excuse or explanation?

There’s a subtlety here that sneaks by unnoticed and it’s to do with your real belief about your power.

If you’re offering excuses and explanations it means you’re being pushed around by people or circumstances; you’re not free.

It means something out of your control happened TO YOU and you couldn’t help it.

Let’s always remember YOU ARE POWERFUL…
YOU ARE CREATING EVERYTHING in every moment by
what you THINK.

This applies to everyone.

You and the other person involved are BOTH creating… not just “now and then”… in ALL circumstances.

Most of us are intending to do the right thing, so none of this is malicious, but let’s all take responsibility for what happens —
You created being late.
They created you being late.

Let’s acknowledge that.
Let’s embrace that.
Let’s stop giving your power away.

As mentioned in part 1, this is not about being insensitive, arrogant, hurting anyone’s feelings or assigning blame; we can be gentle while speaking our truth.

This is about LOVE and about recognizing we cannot make other people happy.

The best thing you can do for another person is love yourself and live your own truth.

That way you lead the way for others to do the same.
If you don’t, everyone continues around in circles unsuccessfully trying to make others happy.

Scratch the surface of an excuse and you’ll find… fear.

Are you concerned the truth will make you look unreliable, disorganized, irresponsible or uncaring?

Consider this…

A genuinely confident, self-sufficient person who loves themselves has none of the above concerns and has no need to explain themselves.

Let’s dive deeper.

What about the issue of hurting someone’s feelings.
If that’s your concern you haven’t yet fully grasped your power and that of others.

“Nobody can hurt me without my permission.”

By feeling the need to manage another person’s feelings you believe they rely on you to feel good. Wouldn’t that mean you’re also depending on others making you feel good?

Do you see how this works?

Would you be okay with knowing others had to handle you with diplomacy to keep you happy — and in the process couldn’t tell you the truth ?

What if you could love yourself so much you can hear and handle the truth, no matter what?

I’m not saying that’s easy but what a powerful way to live!
That’s FREEDOM and if you want it you can have it.

Be the example and others will follow.

It’s a powerful moment when you really “get” that:

  • you do not have to play the game of keeping others happy
  • you do not depend on others for your happiness
  • others do not depend on you
  • you’re big and bold… YOU’RE FREE!

If you want to be FREE, what can you do?

1. Start by observing people making excuses or explaining themselves.
Not to judge, merely to learn.

2. Play with speaking your truth or saying what you want without excuses and explanations. It will seem strange at first.

I know personally how confronting it can be to speak and live your truth…
      … but what happens if you don’t?

You’ll see, if the people in your life don’t value the truth like you do, you’ll start shifting into new circumstances and people who do!

You’ll start enjoying love and FREEDOM beyond your wildest imagination.

Drop Diplomacy and Choose Freedom (Part 1)

Even though we celebrate January 1st as the start of a new year, every day is the start of another year.

What if we lived every day of our year in absolute TRUTH?

You see, a person who is “diplomatic”
is NOT FREE.

Do ever feel the need to be diplomatic?
If so, are you stunting your spiritual growth and freedom?

FREEDOM begins with TRUTH.

“The high-minded man must care more for the truth
than for what people think.”

Today I’m delving into the nuances of FREEDOM because while we may be born free, most people do not live in freedom.

We may consider ourselves honest in our dealings with others, the fact is we tend to avoid the TRUTH or soften it with diplomacy.

Note: Your TRUTH is always unique to you (see free 3 chapters of my book page 29)

If you can’t speak your truth, you’re not free.

This is a contentious issue and this article may need some contemplation.

This isn’t about right and wrong, merely allow these ideas to linger as a maybe.

Stay with me if you can.

Why do we avoid the TRUTH?

Because the truth, by itself, can seem cold and harsh.

Could it be diplomacy is just a socially acceptable way of hiding the truth?

Many societies glorify diplomacy. There was a time when our survival depended on our “diplomatic abilities” because being out of favour meant dire consequences such as being cast out of the tribe.

Rocking the boat was just too dangerous. In some societies this is still the case and if that’s your situation I suggest you proceed with caution.

This is no longer the case for many of us but the desire to fit in and be liked is recorded in our soul, it remains in our DNA and continues to push us around.

If fear of disapproval is a big one for you but you’d like to evolve beyond this planet, then it’s important you learn to master it.

Allow me to add this is not about assigning blame or being deliberately insensitive and arrogant; it is possible to be gentle while speaking the truth.

Our aim is to always treat others with love and respect, and never intentionally hurt people’s feelings.

We want to come from a place of LOVE and believe it or not this topic is all about LOVE. Loving yourself first and allowing that love to spill over to others.

LOVE and TRUTH are inextricably combined.

One can’t generalize of course, so there will be situations warranting a discussion, the key here is we generally explain ourselves way too much.

It’s time to live and speak your truth without fear of retribution.

If you believe you’ll be rejected or “cast out” for saying what you believe, then that’s your truth and you’ll live it.

If you believe you’re entitled to freedom then that’s your truth and you’ll be free.

As I often say, if we’re not speaking the truth then it surely must be a lie.

I, too, sometimes catch myself with the temptation to soften the truth. I insist on catching and correcting it because I so strongly believe we’re born free and ought to live free.

It starts with courage.

Do you have the courage to speak the truth so you can be FREE?

When you have the courage to liberate yourself through truth, you’re also giving others that gift.

Choose to step forward and lead the way.

What’s Fluoride and Why Would You Even Care?

And anyway, what does this have to do with getting anything you want?

More than you’d think! Let’s talk about that in a minute.

To be honest I’m happily living out of town without fluoride and our local town doesn’t have it in the public water supply either.

So why my interest now, when in fact fluoride’s toxicity came to my attention 25 years ago. 

Well, the health dept is again trying to fluoridate our local town’s water supply. That’s why I’ve been studying fluoride more deeply and it’s been far more interesting shocking than I’d imagined.

Which led me, after serious consideration, to include this article on my website even though I don’t normally cover this type of topic.

However, everything is connected!

A lot of people around the world are objecting to fluoride – and I can see why! So today I’m bringing together a powerful collection of fluoride facts and information in one place to make it easy for you.

Here are 7 shocking facts about fluoride

1. Fluoride is NOT a nutrient; it is a drug (according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)).

“Fluoride, when used in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease in man or animal, is a drug that is subject to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulation.”

2. Fluoride has NEVER been evaluated as safe or effective by The Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
“Dr Ryan, who sat on a committee of the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for six years, said the TGA has never evaluated fluoridation chemicals for their safety and effectiveness.”

3. Fluoride has NEVER been approved as safe and effective by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
“To date, FDA has approved no fluoride-containing supplements as prescription or over-the-counter drugs.”

4. Industrial waste is used to fluoridate public water supplies.

NSW Health says “Hydrofluosilicic acid, sodium silicofluoride and sodium fluoride are commonly sourced from phosphate fertilizer manufacturers.” according to the November 2013 version of NSW Health Fluoride Questions and Answers document (Page 4)

5. Fluoride is a mutagen (an agent that changes DNA).

Rats dosed with fluoride had a statistically significant increase in bone tumours. Fluoride-dosed rats had tumours of the thyroid, oral cavity and rare tumours of the liver. Female infertility is associated with elevated levels of fluoride (>3 ppm).

One ppm fluoride in water facilitates the uptake of aluminium into the brain of rats, producing the type of brain tangles (amyloid deposits) that are associated with Alzheimers disease and other types of dementia.

6. Fluoridated water is associated with elevated levels of lead in children’s blood.

7. Fluoride toxicity compares with lead and arsenic. Look at this graph. Want a little lead or arsenic (or fluoride) with your water today?

Now contemplate the ETHICS & dosage:

If the FDA sees fluoride as a drug then fluoridating the public water supply is a form of mass medication.
Is that ethical?

Did you know a person must give consent before receiving treatment or medication? In other words a doctor cannot force a patient to receive treatment or take medication against their will.

Individual informed consent is always required.

Mass medication violates medical ethics.

The NSW Health staff guide in fact says,

“Patients must give consent before receiving treatment.” and
“Patients have the right to withhold consent. In this case they will not receive treatment.”
(as at February 2013 Page 7)

The American Medical Association (AMA) says, “Informed consent is a basic policy in both ethics and law that physicians must honor…”

The fluoride dose cannot be controlled and what if the local water treatment plant accidentally overdosed your town or city’s water supply with fluoride?

This happened more than once, such as in Jindabyne, NSW for 4 days last year in December 2013. The media release says, On Monday, 2 December Snowy River Shire Council discovered during routine daily monitoring that the fluoride level in the drinking water delivered to Jindabyne was above the Australian Drinking Water Guideline value of 1.5 milligrams per litre (mg/L). The highest concentration measured in the drinking water distribution system was 2.8 mg/L.”

“The evidence that fluoridation is more harmful
than beneficial is now overwhelming.”

~~ Dr. Hardy Limeback, Former President of the Canadian Association for Dental Research.

Dr. Limeback is not the only dentist saying this.

List of professionals who signed the end water fluoridation statement:

Of those 4639 professionals who signed the statement to end water fluoridation, 366 are dentists.
The list so far:

  • 825 Nurses (RN, MSN, BSN, ARNP, APRN, LNC, RGON)
  • 614 DC’s (Doctor of Chiropractic, includes M Chiro)
  • 568 MD’s (includes MBBS)
  • 529 PhD’s – includes DSc (Doctor of Science); EdD (Doctor of Education); DrPH (Doctor of Public Health)
  • 366 Dentists (DDS, DMD, BDS)
  • 174 ND’s (Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine)
  • 106 Lawyers (JD, LLB, Avvocato)
  • 104 Pharmacists (Pharm.D, B. Pharm, DPh, RPH)
  • 120 RDHs (Registered Dental Hygienist); also DH, RDHAP, EFDA, RDAEF, and RDN
  • 72 Acupuncturists (LAc – Licensed Acupuncturist, and, MAc -Master Acupuncturist)
  • 47 DO’s (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine)
  • 29 Veterinarians (DMV, VMD, BVMS)
  • 20 OD (Doctor of Optometry)
  • 22 PA-C (Physician Assistant – Certified); also MPAS and RPA-C

(Can you see yet, why I’ve been fascinated by this!)

Europe SAID NO:

98% of European nations rejected water fluoridation because in their view the public water supply is not an appropriate place to add drugs (some of what European officials say is at the end of this article).

95% of the world is not fluoridated

And yet have similar tooth decay to heavily fluoridated countries.

More on medical ethics:

  • Water fluoridation violates medical ethics in several ways:
    • The individual has no way of giving their consent to take the medication.
    • It is approved and delivered by people without medical qualification.
    • The dose is not controlled. Children, adults, elderly get the same dose.
    • Fluoride has not been tested for safety and effectiveness like other drugs (I’m not saying all tested drugs are safe or effective : )
  • Remember, fluoride does not treat the water itself; it treats the person consuming it.

Why do I care?

My concern is people generally believe without question what they learn as children and from authority figures such as doctors, dentists, the media and government.

I urge you to think for yourself and do your OWN research on topics like fluoride.

What I mean therefore is don’t just believe the information I’ve supplied! Go looking.

Remember these atrocities?
They were also “safe”.

  • Thalidomide, DDT, Asbestos, Agent Orange, Mercury and Lead.
  • Remember when doctors promoted smoking because it was so good for you!

Most people don’t want to admit they’re wrong

What’s intriguing is the intensity with which a person will defend fluoride without ever doing their own research. The most common reason for defending fluoride is they see a link between their teeth and whether or not they consumed fluoride as a child. Their dentist also said it was good for them.

Their good or bad teeth could of course be the result of many factors.

Would you agree to add a toxin to your water without looking into what you’re agreeing to?

Two examples of denial in the face of proof:

1. That the earth is round and not flat is something the church publicly admitted only in the last several decades!

2. Pioneering quantum physicists had to face serious hostilities from traditional scientists, who were concerned about their credibility and wanted the old ways to stay despite undeniable proof to the contrary (quote from P. 8 of my book How to Get Anything You Want – Just Like That!).

But, is sodium fluoride a poison?

If you’re interested in the “other side” of the fluoride debate, I won’t go into toxicity etc here, however these documents give you a good start.

Hint: Sodiumfluoroacetate (23ppm) is the active ingredient in 10/80 the poison used to kill foxes.

At what point does a person start to care?

A person definitely cares if a family member is poisoned, injured or falls ill because of fluoride i.e. when it gets personal.

But why does it have to get to that?

Now, what does this have to do with getting anything you want?

You may have noticed it’s my passion to help people think big and achieve dreams beyond their wildest imagination.

A prerequisite to achieving a worthwhile dream – or anything you want – is to think for yourself and start exercising your free will. May as well start now.

An exciting, happy, fulfilled life does not come from blindly believing and doing everything you’re told. Do your own research and take control of your own life.

Let’s consider babies. How does fluoride affect them?

♦ The respected medical journal “The Lancet” (November 2006) describes fluoride as an “emerging neurotoxic substance” due to evidence linking fluoride to lower IQs in children, and brain damage in animals.

♦ “The Lancet” (February 2014) has dubbed fluoride as a “developmental neurotoxicant”. Fluoride and five other chemicals that have been newly classed as neurotoxicants in epidemiological studies since 2006 are linked to the development of disabilities such as autism, attention – deficit hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia and other cognitive impairments.

♦ Fluoridated water (1 ppm) has 250 times more fluoride than occurs naturally in human breast milk (.004pm).

♦ The Academy of General Dentistry has cautioned parents to avoid fluoridated water when making infant foods.

♦ In March 2006, the National Research Council reported that fluoride is an “endocrine disrupter” which may interfere with the normal activity of the thyroid and pineal glands. The Pineal and Thyroid Glands are both vital for well-being.

♦ A May 2006 Harvard study found a significant link between fluoridated water and bone cancer in boys.

who-dmftAnd anyway… what about tooth decay?

The official reason for fluoridating water is to prevent tooth decay. The graph here shows there’s been a steady decline in tooth decay whether or not countries fluoridate.

Fluoride also causes “Dental Fluorosis”.
This, NSW Health Dept says, is the “only” side effect of fluoride. Teeth become stained, pitted and discoloured and are permanently damaged. In NSW 25% of 11 & 12 year olds have Dental Fluorosis.

Why would anyone want to mass medicate your water supply?

Surely with such overwhelming proof, there ought to be enough doubt about the safety of fluoride to say, “Leave our water alone!”

If someone loves it so much, they can take a fluoride tablet.

Statements from European Officials:

Austria:

“Toxic fluorides have never been added to the public water supplies in Austria.”

Belgium:

“The main reason for that is the fundamental position of the drinking water sector that it is not its task to deliver medicinal treatment to people. This is the sole responsibility of health services.”

Denmark:

“… toxic fluorides have never been added to the public water supplies. Consequently, no Danish city has ever been fluoridated.”

Finland:

“We do not favor or recommend fluoridation of drinking water… Water suppliers, naturally, have always been against dosing of fluoride chemicals into water.”

France:

“Fluoride chemicals are not included in the list [of ‘chemicals for drinking water treatment’]. This is due to ethical as well as medical considerations.”

Germany:

“Generally, in Germany fluoridation of drinking water is forbidden.”

Luxembourg:

“In our views, the drinking water isn’t the suitable way for medicinal treatment and that people needing an addition of fluoride can decide by their own to use the most appropriate way, like the intake of fluoride tablets, to cover their [daily] needs.”

Netherlands:

“… the Supreme Court (Hoge Road) ruled there was no legal basis for fluoridation.

Northern Ireland:

“The water supply in Northern Ireland has never been artificially fluoridated except in 2 small localities where fluoride was added to the water for about 30 years up to last year…”

Norway:

“In Norway we had a rather intense discussion on this subject some 20 years ago, and the conclusion was that drinking water should not be fluoridated.”

Sweden:

“Drinking water fluoridation is not allowed in Sweden…

Czech Republic:

“Since 1993, drinking water has not been treated with fluoride in public water supplies…this form of supplementation is considered:

  • uneconomical (only 0.54% of water suitable for drinking is used as such;
  • unecological (environmental load by a foreign substance)
  • unethical (“forced medication”)

3 Things You’re Doing to Let Others Control You (Part 2 of 3)

BE FREE – CHOOSE YOUR OWN HAPPINESS

A huge part of disputes is how much you unwittingly let others control you.

You can take back control by doing one thing instead; something we’ll get to in a minute. And you’ll find one of the essentials to a happy life also pops up again. Do these and life kicks along nicely.

But first it’s important to know what you may inadvertently be doing now, to let others control you.

What I tell you today is not widely known, and if known is not applied – at least I don’t see many people applying it. The good news is once the light is turned on, it stays on and you are forever more empowered.

Our aim today is to put you in charge of every situation, so you not only use disputes as an asset, but also move on from them. We want to give you freedom and have all your power under your control.

You become a magnetic personality others love to be around!

To Start Today, Ask Yourself These Four Questions:

  1. “Do I try to prove others wrong?”
  2. “Do I blame others for my circumstance?”
  3. “Do I depend on others behaving a certain way, so I can be happy?”
  4. “Do I try to change other people?”

It may surprise you, but if you answer YES to any of these, YOU ARE letting other people control you.

3 Things You Do to Let Others Control You & How to STOP That

1. Others Control You If You Try to Prove Them Wrong

Proving others wrong is a powerless tactic. It feels good, but gives the other person your power; that’s not our aim.

If you want a happy life, the best thing (not necessarily the easiest!) is leave the other person out of it.

 “Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.” ~~ Marcus Aurelius

(Roman Emperor CE 161 – 180, considered one of the most important Stoic philosophers)

What you’ll notice about those four questions above – they all start with “Do I.

That’s because the dispute is all about you. That’s a great thing : -) and I’ll tell you why.

Things don’t just happen to you. (again a good thing)

If you’ve read Just Like That! you’ll already know this and why, but a reminder never hurts.

You create everything that happens to you – once you know that, life becomes easier. For example:

  • Your health: You create your vibrant health or illness and pain
  • Your relationships: You create fun in your relationships or disappointment
  • Your finances: You create doing what you enjoy or a struggle
  • Your career: You create an enjoyable job or a hard, unfulfilling slog

You even create your disputes.

You continue to create everything every day.

Do you realize how powerful and wonderful that is? It means you can choose what you create in future.

Choice = power. Choose to be in control of your life = then you are. Choose to be a victim = then you are.

So, why does trying to prove the other person wrong give them your power?

By saying they caused an issue in your life, you’re choosing to be powerless and give them the power to influence your life.

Remember, you can choose to feel powerless – and of course then you are. Your thought decides your life. You have free will to give that power away and be a victim to others.

BUT. Even though you’ve handed them your power, you’re still creating everything that happens in your life. It’s just that you’re creating situations where you are powerless.

Today our goal is to return your power to you – through knowledge.

A powerful strategy is to take responsibility for the dispute. Taking responsibility means you accept you created the dispute.

When you do, you instantly move into a PROACTIVE ROLE in your life…

… rather than being reactive and dependent on others. You are taking control and choosing your future.

Quantum physics proves what you think creates what you have in your life.

And if you create your life, it’s absolute. It doesn’t only apply to some things and not others, it’s everything.

This may seem impossible right now, but knowledge points the way – makes it fun in fact. This knowledge is already available to you, but it is your job to find, read and apply it. Do that and your life becomes *magical*.

2. Others Control You If You BLAME Them for What Happened

Now let’s talk addiction.

As mentioned in Part 1 – Family Disputes: Tips to Laugh More, Cry Less a dispute gives us an emotional “hit” like a drug. It is addictive. A common emotion is BLAME.

Because blame feels deliciously sweet, you actually feel “good” for a moment. This is due to a chemical rush, again like a drug. You feel absolved of the situation and it’s a chance to complain and have others feel sorry for you.

Blaming others means you let them control you.

Why?

Think about it – when you blame it’s because the person angered or disappointed you – in other words made you angry or sad. This also means they decide whether you feel happy or sad. You’re at their mercy.

If they’re nice to you, you’re happy. If they’re nasty you have a bad day.

Personally I’d rather choose happiness – on my terms, regardless of those around me.

I’ll put it bluntly:

If you truly are powerful enough to create all aspects of your life (you are)…

… how can you blame someone else for your situation or how you feel?

When you’re locked up in a cycle of blame, it is almost impossible for you to focus on and experience joy – you are effectively in a self-created prison. When you focus on retaliation or revenge, retaliation becomes your life so you create more of it. Life becomes harder as even more people retaliate upon you.

You created this and you can change this.

In a bizarre way, sadness and self-pity are also addictive emotions that feel “good”. But the good feeling quickly disappears, and you’re soon hunting for another hit.

It’s a downward spiral. Blaming others keeps you going south. At some point you’ll realize the truth and become desperate enough to stop the cycle and change direction. Today perhaps? : -)

On the other side of this are fun, laughter and getting along with everyone – on your own terms.

That can be you when you say, “YES, I want that”.

The lesson is: blame no-one, not even you. Let the situation merely be a learning opportunity for you: not good and not bad.

How does that work?

Often we’re unaware of our thoughts. If your life is the result of what you think, it means you can use every situation to learn how you’re thinking, and therefore change your thoughts to create what you want.

Even if the other person is attacking you, dig a little deeper and you’ll find you want them to change and behave a certain way.

Remember, controlling someone or forcing them to do what you want is equal to slavery, something we abhor. (yet we still do this but don’t see it that way)

But here’s the catch. By trying to control someone, you become the one controlled.

Why Acquiring Knowledge Gives You Confidence and a Happier Life

Spirituality is reaching frenzied new heights.
It seems that way.

Are you someone who wonders what all the fuss is about?

When I say ‘spirituality’, this is vastly different to religion. Worlds away.

The idea of spirituality encourages freedom of thought and action by following your own unique path to understanding life and forging a way to happiness. Religion usually encourages one to follow rules.

Many people still struggle to make sense of life, some are bored, some frustrated, some sad and distressed. That’s the main reason I wrote the book “How to Get Anything You Want – Just Like That!”.

Why Do So Many People Still Struggle to Make Sense of Their Life

A strong spiritual “muscle” makes it easier for you to have a happy life.

Your spiritual muscle turns life’s confusions into clarity, and the darkness into light. And once you have clarity and light, you have greater confidence; something you’ll always keep.

For many their spiritual muscle is sluggish and under developed.

You’ve heard the term “use it or lose it”, the more you exercise a muscle the stronger it gets. It is the same with your spiritual muscle.

How do You Strengthen Your Spiritual Muscle?

All it takes to start is to put in a little effort to acquire knowledge about life.

While it is most helpful for you to learn about how life works, how thought works, the brain, body, emotions etc, if that doesn’t yet appeal, then start by acquiring any knowledge that is new to you.

Life” after all is everything, so your topic can be anything.

The idea is to get yourself to open to new ideas and acquire new knowledge.

How do You Acquire Knowledge?

You may have found yourself wondering how something works, how to develop your skill in a certain part of your life, or to explore a new hobby.

If so follow-up on it.

Otherwise discuss ideas with a friend or choose a moment to contemplate.

If it’s hard to find time to contemplate, use moments such as before you get out of your car at home. Sit there for a few minutes pondering life.

Effort? Uh Oh.

As with exercising your body, you need a little effort to exercise your spiritual muscle.

If it’s been underutilized it will probably need a little coaxing and this is normal.

Stick with it. The rewards are HUGE, so it’s worth doing.
