What Do You See in The Mirror – Is This The Reason You’re Not Achieving Your Goal?

Your confidence will soar as you start to see you CAN have what you want.

You can do it.

Today… 2 more reasons you’re not achieving your goal.

Reading That Liberating Book Only Once

“Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality.”

~~ Earl Nightingale

Remember, it’s highly probable you have entrenched HABITS (programming) to follow orders, put everyone else first and put your dream last !

And therefore, your subconscious programming will be keeping your life PREDICTABLE and safe.

It’s up to you to break out and exercise your free will.

But first, so we’re clear — what’s the definition of a HABIT?

A habit is something you do BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK about it. Scary or superb?

Which means, unless your current habits and beliefs endorse getting what you want … FORGET IT.

1. Read personal development books & listen to CDs several times (repetition)

If you’re wanting to leave behind mediocrity and DO what you love — you’ll need to read the information over and over (and over) if you want to start living it.

The idea you’re drawn to is seeking expression — in you.

What you read is not a coincidence, but reading it once is not enough.

“Constant repetition carries conviction.”

~~ Robert Collier (1885-1950)

2. Take notes as you read (more repetition)

When you note new ideas you get more repetition. You’ll embrace the ideas and start living them.

Do this simple technique I’ve done for years:

  • Fold a clean sheet of paper in half and place it in the book
  • Have a pen or pencil handy
  • Write out those tempting ideas and note the page number
  • Store it in the book

You’ll form a quick reference to all that inspiration and I often refer to my genius notes. Take more notes when you re-read the book.

3. Create affirmations from these new ideas, and say them slowly every morning and before sleep.

Do this for 30 days straight — at least.

Allow the words of the affirmation to fill you with excitement — if they don’t, create new ones. They must inspire you.

How does repetition work?

Repetition replaces those old limiting habits and beliefs in your subconscious mind e.g. the ones that say, “you can’t.”

Tried “positive thinking” and find it doesn’t work? It’s because the beliefs and habits in your subconscious mind are too strong — they dominate.

Deep down most people have programming that blocks them from breaking free — often because of what others may say or that they may fail.

Do you hold back, conform and stay safe?

The secret is the more often you see a tempting, liberating idea, the more likely you’ll get the courage to apply it.

“Repetition of the same thought or physical action develops into a habit which, repeated frequently enough, becomes an automatic reflex.”

~~ Norman Vincent Peale (1898 – 1993)

Repetition drives you to action.

With repetition you more fully grasp concepts such as the power of YOUR thought and you CAN have what you want, which sparks your imagination. You get excited as you start seeing this is possible.

It does work…

When readers write to me overjoyed about living life on their own terms and their out-of-the-blue magic, I always ask how many times they’ve read my book.

Their answer is almost always that they’ve read it twice, three times and are continuing to do so.

No coincidence.

So Remember…

Repetition will reprogram your subconscious mind with glorious possibilities.

How Strong is Your Opinion of Yourself?

Your life is a reflection of your self image

I invite you to take a look around.

What do you see? It’s interesting when you know your life is a reflection of what you think of yourself.

“A strong, positive self-image is the best possible preparation for success in life.”

~~Dr. Joyce Brothers (Psychologist & television personality b. 1927)

What we see can ALWAYS be improved.

You’re always evolving.

8 Steps to a Better and Faster Result by Doing Less

Do you micromanage your life? If so, you’re creating unnecessary tension, worry and you’re interfering with the outcome of your goals. Imagine instead relaxing and knowing only the best happens for you.

This is Part 2 of a 2-Part series – The Secret to Creating Your Dreams Faster by Doing Less.

Key points from Part 1 – 5 Common Ways You Block Your Goals

  • As an example I use a story about a friend Alicia; someone who over-manipulated the sale of her house.
  • 5 common problems you create by manipulating an exact outcome for your goal.

“By letting it go it all gets done. The world is won by those who let it go.

But when you try and try. The world is beyond the winning.”

Lao Tzu

(Chinese Taoist philosopher and founder of Taoism, 600–531 BC)

Vital Key – Benefit From Your Mistakes

Alicia grabbed the first opportunity for selling her house and clung to it. So in order to change that how would she develop her ability to step back and allow all potentials? She’d study, read books and articles, attend courses etc that specialize in creating what we want and she’d learn more about the workings of the quantum field. She’d read articles like this one! My book “How to Get Anything You Want – Just Like That!” shows you step-by-step how to get what you want in all areas of your life. Learning more about how something works helps you get comfortable doing it, for example once you know more about ‘letting go’ it is easier because it makes more sense.

Once she’d trained herself in letting go, Alicia would initially need to steel herself to resist meddling with the wonderful work of the quantum field, and then as she started to get impressive results, she’d become more relaxed in future goals, knowing only the best always comes her way.

8 Steps to a Better and Faster Result by Doing Less

(here as an example we’re using the sale of a friend’s house)

  1. Contemplate your goal of selling your house. Sit with it; take some time to focus on it…just ponder the goal. Contemplation always brings new insights and you start to align yourself with this goal.
  2. Consider what price you’d like. Always make your price outrageous for this purpose. As outrageous as you’ll allow yourself.
  3. Write a story about selling your house. Write it as if your house is already sold. Describe how easy the sale was. And include how helpful, honest and committed the real estate agents were, how the ideal buyer so effortlessly appeared. Make sure the house sold for way more than you could ever have imagined. Write as if you are on the other side of the sale, imagine you’re having a celebratory champagne with friends, clinking together your glasses. Be passionate and create an exciting story, but leave out ‘how’ the house was sold. By writing the story you effectively launch it into the quantum field and it already starts forming according to your goal. As you move into your future your result will be enhanced – if you allow it.
  4. Take a photograph of the house and place a ‘sold’ sign across it along with your outrageous price. You’ve heard amazing stories about house sales – you can have it too, merely by deciding to and allowing it. Place the photograph where you see it every day. Every day it will start to seem more possible. By doing this you become accustomed to and even more comfortable with getting what you want.
  5. Remain focused and take action when required. Follow up on all opportunities and stay focused on the sale. You may have already said ‘cheers’ with friends in your mind but you must remain focused on what you want all the way through to the actual sale and beyond – until the contract is finalized and money has changed hands . 5 Common Ways You Block Your Goals

How do you free up your goals?

Stop obsessing about HOW your dream will be created.

Let it go, let it flow.

It’s really that simple.

So… you’ve decided what you’d like in your life. And that’s genius – most people haven’t. The first step, the hardest step, is done.

Now for letting go. This part should be easy and yet it isn’t, as the following story illustrates.

This is Part 1 of a 2-Part series – The Secret to Creating Your Dreams Faster by Doing Less.

How to Avoid Sabotaging Your Goal

Over a cup of coffee recently, a friend of mine, we’ll call her Alicia, said she was selling her house.

Of course we all want our property sold quickly (for an amazing price!), and Alicia’s hopes were already raised because she had a friend interested in buying it.

The only hitch was that her friend needed the money from an inheritance and the processing of the inheritance had been in a holding pattern for some time.

My alarm bells rang when Alicia informed me that to ensure this friend bought her house, she’d made it her goal to focus on her friend receiving the inheritance more promptly.

Sound likely? It’s possible of course but this approach is full of obstacles.

The harder you fight to hold on to specific assumptions, the more likely there’s gold in letting go of them.”

John Seely Brown

5 Problems that Arise From Over-Manipulating Your Goal

  1. You block all those delicious unknown potentials:
When Alicia decided exactly how her goal would be achieved, she immediately limited herself to that one inadequate solution.
Your thoughts create what you get and when you focus on only one outcome, you’re effectively insisting on it.
You’re therefore closing off other magical opportunities – unique to you.
  2. Never make your goal dependent on someone else.
Alicia hindered herself by making her goal dependent on her friend’s outcome. She clouded her vision and gave away her power.
Now she is dependent on someone else to achieve her goal.
And anyway, others have free will for what happens in their life and you cannot nor should you, have any say in that.
  3. You cannot influence others and whether they achieve their goal or not.
The inheritance is Alicia’s friend’s issue, her friend’s own private obstacle; it has nothing to do with Alicia.
Alicia’s journey and path is to sell her own house.
Always be aware and stay focused on your own path. Continue reading “5 Common Ways You Block Your Goals”

10 Quick Ways to Manage Your Time and Achieve More

SailingTime is an illusion, you’ve heard that before and it’s true. How would you like to walk in the door tonight beaming from ear to ear? Triumphant, happy, calm, no stress. How you manage your time can make you feel either:

  • free and inspired to do and get what you want

  • trapped, overwhelmed and frustrated i.e. not get what you want

10 Quick Ways to Manage Your Time

  1. Do first those tasks that seem hard for you. They’re the ones that are boring or fill you with dread. They may not be vital, but require attention and once they’re off the list a sense of peace and relief washes over you. They may even be quick to do, but for whatever reason they challenge you. Take control and do them, cross them off the list and enjoy your new sense of freedom.
  2. Do first that which truly moves you forward. The more you focus on tasks that truly move you forward, the more time it’ll seem you’ve had. Wisely use your moments of the day.
  3. Be completely present with each task i.e. Be aware of rushing the task, creating distractions, wishing the task over or that it is time to eat/drink/party. Be passionate about everything you do. When immersed in the now you go beyond time and the task is completed in ‘no time’. Aid your passion by doing work you love.
  4. Last thing before leaving your workstation in the evening, while the day is fresh in your mind, write a few notes about the following:
    • What you were doing when you stopped work today
    • What stage you were up to and where you will start from
    • Other tasks you need to do tomorrow

In the morning, merely look at your list and hit the ground running. You’ll be more effective and enjoy greater awareness straight off. Continue reading “10 Quick Ways to Manage Your Time and Achieve More”
